MY PATH TO BECOMING A DOULA
What brought me here.
My path into birth and postpartum support began several years ago, long before I called myself a doula.
From early on I loved working with children. I worked as a babysitter and au pair, worked in a nursery and kept noticing how much this special time in a family's life fascinated me.
At some point I realised: it's not only the babies that interest me. Above all, it's the women who have them.
Pregnancy, birth and the first weeks with a baby change an incredible amount. And yet suddenly everything revolves around the child. I want the woman not to get lost in all this.
That's why I became a doula.

I listen when you want to sort your thoughts, bring knowledge when you have questions, and stay by your side when it matters.
And because I'm also a photographer, I have a special eye for the small moments that might otherwise get lost. For me, both belong together: being present when something important happens, and looking closely.

MY APPROACH
I believe in the strength

I don't believe you have to give birth the "right" way.
You don't need to have all the answers yet either. You can ask questions, change your mind, prepare and find out what feels right for you.
I want you to know your options, to be able to make decisions out of knowledge and trust and to trust your own voice.
And if in the end some things turn out differently than planned, I want you to still know: you can walk your own path.

A colourful path with many experiences.
I've come to know many different perspectives on pregnancy, birth and family.
Through my work with children, my doula training, my further education and supporting women in the postpartum period, I've learned that no two families are the same.
On top of that comes my work as a photographer. I photograph pregnancy, birth, the postpartum period and families, and so I keep experiencing these special transitions up close.
That's exactly what I bring to my doula work: an open eye, calm, experience and the ability to really look.
I don't want to squeeze you into a particular picture of pregnancy, birth or motherhood. I want to get to know you and find out what your path is.

I'M HERE FOR YOU
From Düsseldorf into the Rhineland.
I accompany women and families in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area, in the Rhineland and in the Ennepe-Ruhr district. I'm also regularly on the road to Neuss, Wuppertal and Gevelsberg. Cologne is part of my area too.
Depending on where you live and what support you'd like, we meet at your home, at my place or at another suitable location.
