There is no maternity hospital in Gevelsberg itself. Many families give birth at the Helios Klinikum Schwelm, where I was born myself, or in Witten, Herdecke, Hagen or Wuppertal.

If you would like a birth centre, you usually go to Wuppertal.

Isn't that a long way from Düsseldorf?

I can reach Gevelsberg in about 45 minutes. That is well within my service area. How far feels right is your decision. If a colleague is closer and a better fit, I am happy to recommend her.

Do you also come to Witten or Hattingen?

Yes. The whole district is within my service area.

Do you replace my midwife?

No. I am a doula, not a midwife. I take care of your wellbeing, the midwife takes care of the medical side. The two complement each other.
