All three packages include support during your birth. They differ mainly in how often we see each other during pregnancy and the postpartum period and how long I am on call for you around your due date.

Whichever package you choose: we always start by getting to know each other and seeing whether we can imagine walking this path together.

We get to know each other.
We talk about what you wish for your pregnancy, your birth and the first weeks with your baby.

Preparation
We prepare together.
Depending on the package, we meet in person several times, talk about your wishes and ideas and prepare you for the birth. You can ask questions, sort your thoughts, make decisions and find out what feels right for you.

On call
When it starts, I'm there.
Around your due date I am on call for you. For how long depends on the package you choose. When it starts, you know: now Céline is by my side.

Birth
You don't have to explain yourself first.
I know you, your wishes and your ideas and accompany you continuously through your birth.

Postpartum
I'm still there afterwards.
Depending on the package, we see each other once or several times in the postpartum period and take time for whatever these first weeks with your baby bring.

We look back together.
A birth can linger. We take time to look back, talk through questions and put what you experienced into perspective.

What exactly does a doula do?
A doula supports you emotionally and practically during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. She does not replace a midwife or doctor, but complements medical care with continuous personal support.
When should I contact a doula?
The earlier you get in touch, the more time we have to get to know each other and prepare together. But you can get in touch at any time and see whether there is still a place for your due date.
Do you accompany me throughout the whole birth?
Yes. I stay with you for as long as your birth takes. That might be a few hours, but sometimes it stretches over two or three days. I don't go home at some point because my "working hours" are over.
All three packages include this continuous support. They differ in the length of the on-call period and in how closely I accompany you before and after the birth.
Are you there too if the birth is induced?
Yes. Even with an induction, I come to you at the hospital and support you. That's exactly when things can take a while, and it helps to have someone by your side who knows you.
We'll decide together when I join you. I'm there when you need me.
What happens if my birth goes differently than planned?
Then that is exactly the moment when you may need your support the most.
Together we look at what matters now, which decisions need to be made and what helps you continue on your own path.
Can I also book you for a planned caesarean?
Yes. Doula support is not tied to a particular type of birth. Even with a planned caesarean we can look together at what support you would like around the birth.
How does the on-call period work?
The length of the on-call period depends on the package you choose. During this time I can be reached around the clock and am prepared for your birth.
Why does doula support cost so much?
Because you're not just paying for the hours at your birth, but above all for the time I'm standing by for you. Around your due date I'm on call around the clock for 14 to 20 days, depending on your package.
During that time I keep everything free, stay within a certain radius and plan every day so that I can set off to you at any moment. I don't take on overlapping on-call periods. When I'm on call for you, I'm there only for you.
What happens if you can't be at my birth?
I work together with backup doulas. So if I am ever unable to be there for an appointment or around your birth, you will not be left on your own.
We will discuss individually what this looks like for you.
Does health insurance cover the costs?
The cost of doula support is usually not covered by statutory health insurance. However, some insurers offer subsidies or individual benefits. It is worth asking your health insurance directly.
