Your support
during the postpartum period
You don't have to manage everything on your own right now.
In the postpartum period you can lean back and arrive. I come to your home and support you wherever you need relief right now.
Maybe the housework has piled up. Maybe you don't have the energy to cook. Maybe you simply want to have a shower, eat in peace or have someone who takes things off your plate for a few hours.
Together we look at what does you good right now.
What is postpartum care?
For me, postpartum care means one thing above all: In the postpartum period you're allowed to take care of yourself too.
After birth, everything suddenly changes. Your baby needs you, your body needs time, and at the same time everyday life somehow carries on. That's exactly where I come in.
I support you at home with the things that are too much right now, cook for you, take things off your plate and create space for you to recover and settle into your new family life.
I support families in the postpartum period in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area, in the Rhineland and in the Ennepe-Ruhr district.

Frequently asked questions
When am I entitled to postpartum care?
Statutory health insurance can cover the costs of household help during the postpartum period if you can't run your household yourself because of the pregnancy or birth and nobody in the household can take over, for example after a C-section, in case of severe exhaustion or with multiples. As a rule you'll need a doctor's certificate. We can look together at what's possible in your situation.
How long can I use postpartum care?
That depends on your situation and on what your health insurance approves. Many families use the support in the first weeks after the birth, some for longer. As a self-payer you can book as many visits as feels right for you.
How does coverage by health insurance work?
Usually your doctor issues a certificate that you use to apply for household help with your health insurance. Once approved, I can bill my services directly to the insurer via my IK number. I'm happy to help you with the application.
What happens in a first conversation?
We get to know each other in peace, in person, by phone or online. You tell me how you're doing and what you'd like, and together we look at what the support could look like for you. The conversation is without obligation.
Can I use postpartum care without health insurance?
Yes. You can also book me as a self-payer, for example if you're not entitled or would like additional support. You'll find the current prices above under “Investment”.
