POSTPARTUM PHOTOGRAPHY · NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

The first tender days. Tiny fingers. Lots of closeness and sleep.

Documentary postpartum photography at your home. For the little moments that pass far too quickly in this special first time.

The first days can simply be.

The postpartum period is a time of its own. Tired eyes, bare feet, tiny hands, breastfeeding on the sofa and this new little being who suddenly belongs to you.

I want to capture these moments the way they really are. Without you having to tidy up, get ready or perform for the camera beforehand.

You can simply arrive. I'll look.

Time for what's happening right now.

In the postpartum period everything happens at once, and yet this time passes incredibly quickly.

A shoot gives you the chance to pause for a moment. To look at your baby. To notice your new connection. And to capture how your first life together really felt.

Documentary rather than perfect.

I watch what happens between you and step in as little as possible. If a little guidance helps, I'll give it. If you're simply cuddling, feeding or sleeping, that's exactly what can happen. Because it's these perfectly ordinary moments that will tell your story later.

I know the postpartum period isn't a photo shoot that has to fit in between two appointments. It's a time in which you can arrive. And that's exactly what I adapt to.

Capture your first chapter together.

If you're seriously interested, I'm happy to show you more of my newborn pictures. To protect the families and at their request, I don't show their faces here.

Frequently asked questions about postpartum photography

When is the right time for a postpartum shoot?

There's no fixed day on which your baby looks "properly" newborn. I like to photograph in the first days and weeks, but what matters is that you feel ready for it. Especially in the postpartum period, it's about you, not about a perfect moment.

Do you also photograph at our home?

Yes. For postpartum photography I'm very happy to come to your home. You don't have to travel anywhere with a newborn and can stay in your familiar surroundings. I adapt to your rhythm.

Does our home have to be perfectly tidy?

No. Really not. You're in the postpartum period. I find the light and the angles that suit you, and your ordinary everyday life can stay visible.

How does a postpartum shoot work?

We calmly plan beforehand what matters to you. On the day itself we see what's happening. Maybe someone's feeding, maybe the baby is asleep, maybe a sibling needs attention. All of that can be part of the pictures.

Where do you offer postpartum photography?

I photograph postpartum families in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area and in the Rhineland, including Neuss, Cologne, Wuppertal, Gevelsberg and the Ennepe-Ruhr district.
