YOUR BIRTH
You don't have to
go through it alone.
A birth is a powerful and sometimes unpredictable moment. As a doula I accompany you calmly and continuously and I'm there for you, whether you give birth at home, in a birth centre or in hospital.
I don't replace your midwife or doctors. I complement medical care with emotional support, knowledge and a familiar person by your side.
You don't have to explain yourself first. I know you, your wishes and what matters to you.

Your birth. Your way.
Maybe you already have a clear idea of how you want to welcome your baby. Maybe you're still completely open. Maybe you've already given birth and want to experience something different this time.
A doula doesn't follow a fixed plan. I want to help you find your own way and feel safe and supported even if your birth goes differently than expected.
What a doula gives you.
Safety
A familiar person by your side whom you can trust with your questions, wishes and worries.
Continuity
A companion who knows you and accompanies you from preparation to birth.
Self-determination
Knowledge and support so you can make conscious decisions and trust your own voice.
Frequently asked questions about birth support
What does a doula do during birth?
A doula accompanies you continuously and supports you emotionally and practically. She can help you stay calm, find positions and breathing techniques, involve your partner and give you a sense of safety in challenging moments. Medical care remains with your midwife or medical team.
Do you also accompany me in hospital?
Yes. I accompany you during a hospital birth just as I do during a birth at home or in a birth centre.
What happens if my birth goes differently than planned?
Then we go with what comes. A birth plan is no guarantee of a particular course. What matters to me is that you know your options and feel well supported even when decisions have to be made differently on the spot.
When should I book a doula?
Many women get in touch in the first or second trimester so we have enough time to get to know each other and prepare together. But you can also get in touch later. What matters is that we can still find a suitable framework for your support.
Do you also support women after a difficult birth?
Yes. If you have already experienced a birth that is still on your mind, or you would like different support this time, we can look together at what you need and how I can support you.
