The small & big
moments that stay.
I photograph pregnancy, birth, the postpartum period and family life the way they really are: honest, unposed and with time for everything that happens between the big moments.

I take time to get to know you. Because for me, the most beautiful pictures don't happen when everyone poses perfectly, but when at some point you forget there's a camera in the room.
I give you space when you need it, small prompts when you feel unsure, and otherwise I simply let you be. At a birth or in the postpartum period that mostly means: watching, waiting and pressing the shutter at the right moment.
Time over poses.
Connection over
perfection.
The moments I capture for you.
Each of these times tells its own story. Sometimes it's about your body, sometimes about your baby's birth, sometimes about the first days as three. And sometimes simply about your perfectly ordinary family life.
The moments you sometimes don’t even see yourself.
A look between two people. The hand that reaches for yours as a matter of course. Your child watching you while you are looking somewhere else.
These are exactly the moments that interest me. And I think photography can be more than a memory: a moment in which you pause and consciously take in where you are right now. In pregnancy, in the postpartum days, right in the middle of your family life.
I don’t just want to capture how you look. But how you are with each other.
captured for you · captured for you ·
A small glimpse into stories I was allowed to capture. For pictures like these I don't need as many motifs as possible in a short time, I need you: your dynamic and the way you are with each other.

1
Get to know me
We talk about what you'd like, what matters to you and how you feel in front of the camera.
2
Planning
Together we decide when and where the photos should be taken. For a birth, of course, we stay flexible.
3
Shoot
You don't have to be good at anything. I give you space, small prompts and above all time.
4
Yours to keep
Afterwards you receive a selection of pictures that tell your story. Not just the one perfect moment, but lots of little ones in between.
Maybe there are moments you'd like
to see again later.
Your partner's hand on your bump. The first minutes with your baby. A tired smile in the postpartum days. Or simply you, right in the middle of your life.
These moments don't have to be perfect to be precious.
Frequently asked questions
How does a photo shoot with you work?
We get to know each other beforehand and talk about what you'd like and how you feel in front of the camera. Then we plan together when and where the pictures will be taken.
At the shoot itself you don't have to be good at anything. I give you space, small prompts and above all time. You receive your pictures afterwards in an online gallery.
How natural are the pictures? Do I have to pose?
No, you don't have to pose. If you feel unsure, I'll give you small prompts, but I don't force anyone into stiff poses.
The most beautiful pictures usually happen anyway once you forget about the camera. And if you consciously want a few staged pictures, there's of course room for that too.
Do you offer birth photography in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area?
Yes. I photograph births in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area, whether at home, in a birth centre or in hospital.
Because I also work as a doula, I know the dynamics of a birth. I know when I can be close and when it's better to step right back.
How does photographic support during a birth work?
Around your due date I'm on call for you for 14 days, from 7 days before to 7 days after the date. When it starts, you get in touch and we decide when I'll join you.
I photograph without flash, work calmly and documentarily and stay in the background. It matters more to me to leave your birth undisturbed than to take one more picture. We will talk through calmly beforehand what this should look like for you and whether and where photography is allowed in the hospital.
You receive the photo reportage afterwards in an online gallery.
When should I book a birth photographer?
As early as possible. Around your due date I'm on call for 14 days and keep that time free just for you. I don't take on overlapping on-call periods.
But feel free to ask at short notice too. Dates do open up every now and then.
What happens if the due date shifts?
That's exactly what the 14-day on-call period around your due date is for. Babies simply don't follow calendars, and that's planned for.
If it looks like your baby will come outside this period, we'll talk openly about what's possible.
Do you also photograph the postpartum period at our home?
Yes, very gladly. The postpartum shoot takes place at your home and lasts about 2 hours, so we can respond fully to your baby.
A breastfeeding reportage is also possible, even after the first six weeks.
When is the best time for pregnancy photos?
My recommendation is around the 32nd week of pregnancy. By then your bump is nicely round and you usually still have enough energy for a relaxed shoot.
Of course that's individual. We'll briefly talk beforehand about what feels right for you.
How long does a family shoot take?
A family shoot takes about 1 hour, indoors or outdoors. Especially with children, we'd rather plan in a little extra time, because breaks are part of it.
Which regions do you photograph in?
I photograph in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area and in the Rhineland, including Neuss, Cologne, Wuppertal, Gevelsberg and the Ennepe-Ruhr district.
For special shoots I also travel throughout Germany and, by arrangement, happily even further. Just ask if you live somewhere else.
How many pictures will I get in the end?
You'll receive a carefully selected collection of the most beautiful pictures in digital form, edited and in high resolution.
What should we wear?
Simple, coordinated colours without big patterns or logos look most beautiful. I'm happy to give you a few tips beforehand.
I'm looking forward
to meeting you,
Celine ♡
